Camp

glaileoSo camp yeah, it was pretty good. The first day we split off into our hiking group and started heading towards where we were going. We walked probably 1km that day but it was really hard. I guess it was because we didn’t know what to expect. we set up camp and had dinner. Our pasta cooked really well and Ally, Ellen and I finished most of the pasta by ourselves. The second day was really hard and I pretty much hated it while I was doing it. it was alright though because everyone in my hiking group kept moral up. Everybody helped everybody and I got a lot of support when I had a mini freak-out over going down one of the really steep, long slopes. It felt really good when we finished the hike, and I was really proud of myself. When we got back to the group camping ground nobody else was there and nobody else got there for about an hour. which means we got best choice of the camping sites. It was really good when everyone got back though, because we were all just hanging out with each other (though there’s still the class rivalry, not gonna lie). I helped make the salad and hands still smelt like onion a few days afterwards.
the third day we went to the top of an inactive volcano and the went to Ballarat (it was good to get back to some kind of civilisation).
