How to Improve

So for my critical questions I’m planing on improving on:
1. Doing research of my own
2. Questioning why i think what i think (critical thinking)

Learning Goals Reflection

It’s time to reflect on if we’ve actually achieved what we wanted (*not so subtly rolls eyes*)

Interviewing: Yes I think I have gotten better at interviewing, seeing as most of our mini trail on Monday was an interview. It was good fun and we have good info for our project now
Resume Writing: Hasn’t improved, we haven’t done anything on it so I still have no idea. Maybe I should ask my sister…
Activism: Um… I don’t even know. I have really done anything as an activist yet so… maybe I should stand up for a cause that I like.
Philosophy: Yes, definitely. Especially thinking about schools. Do we really need schools? What is education? What is fair? Stuff like that. Deep questions man.
Music/ Music Appreciation: Well, yeah. I’m in the music group, so my knowledge about the music industry has grown. and about Melbournian music.
The Media: Um… we watch a lot of videos during class. But that’s not what I’s really call ‘The Media’. I guess I could try to read more articles about things.
Persistence & Determination: It took a lot of persistence to get the mini trail up and running. I had to call 2 different people and call the people that we eventually saw 2 times!!
Strong self-esteem: I don’t know how you really measure if you’ve achieved this goal… I’m feeling relitavly good about myself?
Organisation: Plus side, I organised the trail. Down side, I’ve been forgetting other things.

Goals of Learning

Choosing learning goals out of a long, long list is always hard. I had to do this and after a quite a while succeeded in choosing 3 out of each column, skills, knowledge and personal qualities.

The skills ones were:
Interviewing which I chose because at the moment I think I might want to do journalism when I’m older.
Resume writing because that’s an important skill and at the moment I honestly have no idea of how to write one
Activism because there are many subject that I’m passionate about and I want to be able to support those causes.

The knowledge ones were:
Philosophy and Values because I really love philosophy and it’s sort of fun how it can totally mess with your brain.
Music/music appreciation, which, well the reasons for that are kind of obvious to anyone that knows me.
The media. I’m not totally sure why I chose this. It’s more fun than all the others?

The Personal Qualities ones were:
Persistence and Determination. I tend to give up on things when I get frustrated. Which is a lot.
Strong Self-esteem. When is having a strong self-esteem not helpful?
Organisation. I love procrastination, which tends to mean that I’m nowhere near organised
